Garden Planning and Special Interests
Garden design is a continuous process, changing over the years as plants mature or outgrow their allotted space, and as the family needs alter or energy diminishes. Few people acquire the garden of their dreams; sometimes it starts out as a virgin building site, on other occasions it can be a neglected wilderness, and often it is a well-tended but unimaginative plot. In all cases, the sensible thing is to plan the gardens development, assessing its possibilities and deciding on the features it should contain. Finances may not allow the installation of a greenhouse immediately, but in a well-designed garden a suitable site would be allotted to it from the outset. The same applies to such permanent features as rock gardens and pools, terraces and patios and raised beds.
Small gardens – even miniature ones like balconies, roof gardens and tiny basement areas – need just as careful planning. Many plants, trees and shrubs included, are ideally suited to container growing, and alpines especi-cially show to advantage in sinks and troughs.
Peat beds permit the cultivation of those acid-loving plants that would otherwise die in a limy soil, and a properly-equipped greenhouse extends the gardening season to a full twelve months in a year.
In many ways it is easier and more satisfying to plan a garden when the plot is brand new and undeveloped -as left by the builders, in fact. When taking over an existing, well-kept garden there is less incentive to put ones own stamp on it, while a neglected or derelict plot has to be reclaimed before worthwhile reconstruction can start.
Even so, the basic stages are the same in each case. First, an assessment of the site must be made to see what conditions and features it has to offer. Next, you have to think carefully about what sort of garden you want and what it should contain. Finally, armed with this knowledge, a detailed design can be mapped out.
My friend, it is important that you take good care of your house and make sure that it is safe and clean. You should make sure that there are no black or green patches on your walls, ceilings or furniture, because if you find any such patch in any area of your house, then it can be a black mold. It is important that you are aware of the
