Francks is a Florida-based pharmacy which is one of the Nations largest veterinary compounders. They recently bought out Island Pharmacy in Wisconsin and have become a major purveyor of micro-compounded calcitriol for animals. As you may already know, calcitriol increases blood calcium levels of by promoting absorption of dietary calcium from the gastrointestinal tract of the patient. It also stimulates the release of calcium from bone by its action on the specific type of bone cells referred to as osteblasts. Calcitriol is generally used for animals who suffer from several kinds of ailments and diseases which generally decreases calcium in their body. Going back to Francks Compounding Lab, the pharmacy is currently employs 75 people and has several pharmacists that are licensed to compound prescriptions nationwide, in all states that are requiring licensure.
